10:10 p.m.-- Andrea Mitchell reports a conference call from the Clinton campaign--which seems to be saying that it may launch legal challenges to precinct caucuses in Texas. Houston, Harris Cnty, is mentioned. With 14 percent of the vote in, Obama still leads Clinton in Texas, as he has from the earliest precincts--this before any of the big cities are in. Looks as though the Clinton people are reading this right.

Meanwhile, on the GOP side, McCain as expected won all four states today--Huckabee came out and gave a cheerful concession speech; his wife got a big hand from the crowd when Huckabee mentioned her.

9:45 McCain comes out in Dallas, gives his speech as the GOP nominee. His wife looks spectacular. Crawl at bottom of screen: Obama calls McCain to congratulate him, tells him he looks forward to campaigning against him in fall. Good move.

It remains to be seen how far the Clinton campaign will go, to try to overturn Texas. Hillary Clinton already said that Texas is not usually a state Dems expect to win. Maybe the Clintonistas are willing to infuriate the state for the Dems if they cannot win it for themselves. As Matthews et al keep reminding, Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, a Clinton supporter, earlier seemed to say that Clinton has to win both Ohio and Texas to stay in the race.

But if Obama's lead continues to hold up, even before the big cities come in, then the Obama campaign is looking at a blowout in Texas.
