Final update for the night: If current numbers hold, here are the results for the Dems: THE CANDIDATE WHO VOTED AGAINST THE IRAQ WAR CAME IN FIRST. THE CANDIDATE WHO HAD VOTED FOR IT BUT ADMITTED HIS MISTAKE CAME IN SECOND. THE CANDIDATE WHO VOTED FOR IT AND STILL NEVER HAS ADMITTED HER MISTAKE CAME IN THIRD, IN SPITE OF GLOBAL NAME RECOGNITION AND THE BIGGEST FUNDRAISING TOTALS IN THE HISTORY OF PRIMARIES. The audience will probably not hear these words tonight on either CNN or MSNBC, but that's how the vote breaks down. So much for the notion that the war is somehow unimportant to voters.   more »

The administration continues to make all possible efforts to talk the nation into war with Iraq, while concealing the fact that military action is already being taken against Iraq, without the consent of the public or of Congress. Intense pressure is placed on Congress, to achieve passage of a resolution that the president can use as his political cover for going in.
